Keeping students motivated, engaged, and enthusiastic in the classroom can be challenging. This is where ICT tools, such as apps and web platforms, play a crucial role in helping teachers effectively communicate and transfer knowledge while capturing students' attention. In today's digital age, mastering interactive learning methods is essential to offering students an alternative, non-traditional learning experience that keeps them actively engaged. The new edition of the course “Integrating ICT and new technologies into teaching and education” took place in Tenerife from 30/03/2025 to 05/04/2025. Our participants were Andriano Cosima, Cardone Filomena, Ciardi Anna, Di Nuzzo Antonietta, Pavesio Aida, and Martino Mariangela from Unitre Caserta in Italy. During this course, participants explored a wide range of technological tools and learned how to integrate them into their teaching methods effectively. They began by familiarizing themselves with simple yet powerful tools for editing pictures and videos—valuable resources for enhancing the learning experience. These tools can serve various purposes, such as creating multimedia content, introducing new topics, or summarizing previous lessons. Additionally, they can encourage students to produce their work, fostering creativity and engagement. In particular, video presentations have proven to be highly effective in capturing students' attention and energizing the classroom environment. Additionally, participants learned how to create a website using a simple step-by-step approach. Through this course, they had the opportunity to experiment with an intuitive drag-and-drop tool, enabling them to design a website for their schools with ease Over the past two years, traditional education has increasingly shifted towards virtual lessons and online classes. As a result, this course also explored essential applications for conducting online lessons, including virtual whiteboards. These tools help create engaging and interactive learning experiences while fostering collaboration among students. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of technology through various hands-on activities. These included creating presentations, engaging in virtual quizzes, designing social media content, and using tools for organizing graphics, posters, and collages, among many others. This course encouraged collaboration, allowing participants to exchange ideas and learn from each other's experiences. By the end, they had gained valuable knowledge of interactive learning and a new set of practical tools, ready to implement in their classrooms. There's no doubt that this approach will enhance students' creativity, engagement, attention, and motivation—turning learning into a fun and dynamic experience! Learn more about this course here.
