Today, English has become a true global language, acting as a bridge between people from different nations and fostering communication across diverse fields such as business, academic research, fashion, technology, and beyond. A group of teachers from various countries and schools took part in the Intensive English Language Course for Education Staff, approaching the learning journey with enthusiasm and commitment. They engaged in each activity with a positive attitude, striving to enhance their skills and expand their perspectives. The new edition of the course took place in Tenerife from 31/08/2025 to 06/09/2025. We had the pleasure to welcome a group composed by Mario from I.I.S.S. Antonio Pesenti in Italy,Anna and Raffaella,Eleonora,Emanuela from Liceo Classico e linguistico G.D.Romagnosi in Italy,Lydia from Istituto d’Istruzione secondaria di secondo grado in lingua tedesca “Michael Gaismair”in Italy,Cristina from Liceo Morgagni in Italy. Throughout the week, participants engaged in a series of activities designed to strengthen five core skills: English usage, listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The journey began with introductions and job descriptions, followed by peer interviews that helped participants get to know one another. Recognising that language learning requires both effort and consistent practice, each day was filled with interactive exercises and hands-on activities to support their progress. The grammar review focused on tenses, phrasal verbs, and adverbs, all introduced through practical, real-life contexts such as organizing daily tasks, discussing routines, managing schedules, and sharing hobbies. Participants also engaged in broader conversations on topics like the value of learning foreign languages, personal travel experiences, and future plans. To make learning both effective and enjoyable, the lessons combined formative assessments with games, quizzes, readings, real-life simulations, and other interactive strategies. Beyond the classroom, participants discovered the beauty of Tenerife through guided tours of the historic city center and shared memorable experiences over lunches and dinners in charming local restaurants, immersing themselves in the island’s rich culture and cuisine. The participants approached every speaking challenge with enthusiasm and growing confidence. Even during breaks, they seized the opportunity to converse in English, exchanging best practices and sharing insights about their schools and home countries. It was an exceptionally productive week, defined by dedication, curiosity, and meaningful cultural exchange. We hope the participants continue their English learning journey with the same positive mindset and carry with them the value of the vibrant, multicultural environment they created together in just one week.
