Discover ICT Tools to boost student engagement

Maintaining motivation and enthusiasm in the classroom can be challenging. This is where ICT tools like apps and web platforms play a crucial role in assisting teachers with effective communication and knowledge transfer while capturing students' attention. In today’s educational landscape, it's essential to be familiar with interactive learning methods to provide students with alternative, non-traditional approaches that keep them engaged.

The latest edition of the course “Integrating ICT, new technologies and AI tools into teaching and education” was held in Tenerife from 03/11/2024 to 09/11/2024. Participants hailed from various countries across Europe, including Janja and Alenka from Osnovna Šola Vodice in Slovenia,  Małgorzata, Paulina R. and Paulina P. from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 5 im. Polskiej Macierzy Szkolnej w Czeladzi in Poland, Fiona from City of Dublin ETB Educationanl Service to Prisons in Ireland, Virginie and Ward from GO! next het atheneum in Belgium, Andrés and Gerrit-Ascan from Mittelschule Singrienergasse in Austria, Berthold from BBS Andernach in Germany, Małgorzata and Marzena from Zespół Szkół im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego in Poland

Throughout this course, participants explored a wide array of technological tools and learned how to incorporate them effectively into their teaching methods.
Over the past two years, traditional education has adapted to include virtual lessons and online classes. As a result, this course also focused on tools that facilitate online teaching, such as virtual whiteboards, which can create engaging and interactive lessons as well as foster collaborative learning experiences.

Additionally, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in technology through a variety of hands-on activities, including creating presentations, participating in virtual quizzes.
This course provided participants with the opportunity to connect and learn from each other's experiences. They departed with a deeper understanding of interactive learning and a new arsenal of tools to implement in their classrooms. It's clear that this approach will enhance students' creativity, engagement, focus, and motivation, turning learning into an enjoyable and dynamic experience!
