Course overview
Mindfulness is the practice of cultivating present-moment awareness and a non-judgmental focus on one's thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. In an educational context, mindfulness offers teachers and education staff a powerful tool to enhance the learning environment. By incorporating mindfulness into their own lives, educators can better manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and foster a sense of well-being. Participants will learn about the origins and uses of mindfulness in different settings and experiment a variety of mindful strategies that will allow them to integrate this practice in their classroom. Through a hands-on approach participants will acquire concrete methods that will enhance the teacher-student relationship, improve communication, and create a positive and resilient space for academic and personal growth.
