With the evolution of new technologies, development of new apps and the increasing involvement of students in these media, it makes it essential for teachers to be comfortable with ICT. During this course, the teachers had the opportunity to learn new tools with different stimuli and new ways to teach their students. Also in this week, the teacher had the chance to create new creative content, like dynamic presentations, quizzes for the students, videos and much more for their lessons, with different apps. Today we know that online lessons are more and more common, and we should take advantage of that, and learn more about what we can do to improve them and continue to uphold the interest of the students. There are a million different possibilities and tools to create dynamic lessons, help the students to be more engaged and keep their attention for more time, so that they can learn more. The new edition of the course “Discover the best apps and tools for E-learning, distance learning and wed design” took place in Palermo from 31/07/2022 to 06/08/2022. The participants of this course are all from Bulgaria, from the school 81 Secondary School Viktor Ugo: Elena, Tsvetan, Martin, Reni and Viara. This week was very intensive, with new experiences and a lot of time to learn. The teachers experienced some group activities, team building exercises and of course, learned how to use news apps for e-learning. The course was very practical, so after the explanation of each tool, they had the time to create their own content related to their subjects, that they can use in their classes. They learned tools to create multimedia content and personalized videos, how to begin a website and also create quizzes and games for their students, with the purpose of better learning for the students. This type of tools can substantially improve students' attention, interest and engagement in the classes. These apps deepen students’ different potentialities, different competencies, create opportunities for better and more efficient learning, in which students have to have a more active learning and interact more with the new content they learned. Over the course of this week, although the participants were all from Bulgaria, they did historical and cultural trips in Palermo, with other participants from different countries in Europe like Croatia, Poland and Hungary. This gave them the chance to improve their English and their communication skills, which are fundamental for a teacher. In conclusion, these teachers left Palermo with different ideas, different tools to use in order to create more attractive content, and be more capable and confident to give online classes.
